The Medical Center Archives has a large photograph collection documenting the history of Duke Medicine. Nearly 800 of these images are available online through our digital repository, MEDSpace. Some of these images feature or include African Americans at the Medical Center. They may be viewed as a group by clicking here.

In addition to the images available on MEDSpace, we have many photographs and negatives that have not been digitized, but may be viewed at our facility. These collections include images of African American faculty, students, and staff. Finding aids for our major image collections are below:
