Spaces:
Library study rooms, cubicles, and open spaces are available Monday – Thursday, 7am – 10pm, Friday, 7am-5pm, and Saturday – Sunday, 10am-10pm. Reservations are still required for group study spaces and cubicles. Once reserved, you will only need to check-in at your space and not at the Lobby Desk. Any open tables, soft seating, PIN stations, and computers are all available for use without reservation.
Services:
More staff are now on-site and excited to see you in person! Our Service Desk (Level 2R) is open Monday–Friday, 8am-5pm. You may still contact Library staff through our chat function between 9am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. Library staff are available to meet with faculty, staff, and students by phone, email, WebEx, or Zoom. Library classes are all held online.

Study Carrels
There is non-reservable seating available on level 2R & level 3 for individual or group study on a drop-in basis.
Cubicles & Study Room Reservations
Equipment: All study rooms are equipped with large monitors and whiteboards and seat between 4 and 8 people.
Reservation Policy: Group study rooms may be reserved for 6 hour blocks per individual or group. Rooms may be scheduled for up to 1 week in advance (including the day of the reservation). Availability is based on booking with preference given to those with reservations. There is no time limit on the use of cubicles. After a 15-minute grace period for arrival, these spaces become available to others.

If you are too busy to scan materials or need items not available at Duke, this service can help you! Submit your request through our Document Delivery/Interlibrary Loan System (link below). There is no charge to Duke borrowers for all article requests. If there are copyright or other fees associated with your article request, we will contact you. Journal articles and book chapters, from Duke and elsewhere, emailed to you as PDF links. You will have 30 days to access the link(s) once you receive the email. There is a 1 to 4 day turn-around for most requests. Larger requests may take longer than 4 days to fill.
