If you are too busy to scan materials or need items not available at Duke, this service can help you! Submit your request through our Document Delivery/Interlibrary Loan System (link below). There is no charge to Duke borrowers for all article requests. If there are copyright or other fees associated with your article request, we will contact you. Journal articles and book chapters, from Duke and elsewhere, emailed to you as PDF links. You will have 30 days to access the link(s) once you receive the email. There is a 1 to 4 day turn-around for most requests. Larger requests may take longer than 4 days to fill.

In addition to numerous computers located on Level 2R (which require Duke Health ID and password for access):

  • Patient Information Network (PIN) Stations are located on Level 2R.
  • A scanning station is located on Level 2R. You can save your scans to a USB drive, send to the printer, or send to e-mail.
  • Dress accordingly as it can be chilly in the library!
  • Feel free to bring food and drink to the library.
  • Please use the provided cleaning supplies to clean your spaces before/after use.
