PubMed Tip

PRO TIP: Always go to PubMed through the Duke Medical Library's website so you will use our customized version of PubMed and see the Get it @ Duke button.

Get it @ Duke in PubMed

When you retrieve more than one article, the Get it @ Duke button does not appear in PubMed's default display.

To see where the full-text is available including the Get it @ Duke button, you will need to click on the article title link to see an individual article's citation page.

  • The Get it @ Duke button is in the upper right-side of the screen when you view an individual article's abstract.

Use the Get it @ Duke button to go to the online article. When you are off-campus you will be prompted to enter your Duke NetID / Password the first time you go to a full-text article.

Request Article through Interlibrary Loan via Get it @ Duke Button

Sometimes when you click the Get it @ Duke button, instead of the article, you will see a page that informs you that Duke does not have access to the article online.  You can request the article through our Interlibrary Loan service for free! You will see two blue request buttons. It is very important that you click the second Request button that says: Request - Med Center users. You will receive an email with the PDF within a few days.
