DPDx is developed and maintained by the Centers for Disease Control's Division of Parasitic Diseases (DPD). Parasites and parasitic diseases are listed alphabetically and are cross-referenced.

Database contains photos, images and video. Includes electron micrographic imagery and images associated with influenza, bioterrorism, natural disasters and environmental health. Most of these images are in the public domain (and free of copyright restrictions). Beneath each image, you will find a fair use statement, which tells you if the image is in the public domain or copyright protected.
