NIH Public Access Policy Compliance: Reporting Publications

Creating PDF Report

From within My Bibliography you can generate PDF reports which can be attached or inserted into required reports.  Below are instructions for creating a PDF report.

1. Select the checkbox next to the citations you wish to include in your report.

2. Click on the "Compliance report (PDF)." If you do not see this option, you may need to link your My NCBI account with your eRA commons account.

Fill in the information in the box that pops up.

Note:  The generated PDF includes the compliance status for each article.  If you selected articles with a status of N/A for which no funding has been associated or articles with an unknown (?) status, they will not appear in the PDF report.

SciENcv - NIH Biosketch

SciENcv is a researcher profile system for all individuals who apply for, receive or are associated with research investments from federal agencies.  We highly recommend using it to create your NIH Biosketch to meet the new requirements (NOT-OD-21-073). Biosketches are required in both competing applications and progress reports.

To get started using SciENcv, first sign into NCBI (preferably with your eRA Commons account if you have one).  In your NCBI account, look for the SciENcv box shown below and click on the link to create a new CV.

You have several options for creating a new Profile.  Below is a screenshot with recommendations for starting your first profile.

Below is a screenshot of the Contribution section of the New NIH Biosketch formatted profile.  Note the options to use content from My Bibliography.

See sample biosketches. For additional details see the SciENcv Help documentation.
