Study Carrels and Rooms are available for individual or group study. You can see what is available and reserve a room.

Computers & Other Equipment: In addition to numerous computers (which require Duke Medicine ID and password for access):

  • Color scanning can be done from the self-service copiers at no charge.  Machines are located on Level 1 (Room 102C). You will need a USB drive for storing the images.  USB drives are available for sale at the service desk.
  • We have mobile flat screen panels that can be wheeled around for use anywhere within the facility. First come, first served.  
  • Large screen LCD panels can be connected to laptops in the group study rooms 316 and 319 on Level 3.

Library Hours

The Medical Center Library is staffed from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday; study spaces are available 24/7.

Your Duke ID card is required for after hours and weekend access.

Parking @ the library:

Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM
Free parking is almost impossible M - F, 8-5. It's usually best to take a Duke shuttle bus, or park at one of the patient parking decks and pay the hourly rate.

After Hours and Weekends
The safest places to park are in parking garages 1 and 2; see the Duke transporation Web page for fees and hours.

Free parking is available weekdays after 5 PM, and on weekends in any gated lots on campus. Use your Duke ID card to open gates if you do not have a parking permit. If you do have a parking permit, use either your ID card or your permit.

Don't park in any reserved spots! You may get a ticket!
