About this Guide

Welcome! This guide primarily supports the Cultural Determinants of Health Disparities (CDHD) course for first year medical and doctor of physical therapy students at Duke University. Activities to Reduce Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Health Care
This Program Brief describes AHRQ's activities related to racial/ethnic disparities in health care and health care services for the period 2007-2009.
EthnoMed
Contains information about cultural beliefs, medical issues and related topics pertinent to the health care of immigrants to the U.S., many of whom are refugees fleeing war-torn parts of the world.
National Center for Cultural Competence
Their mission is to increase the capacity of health care and mental health care programs to design, implement, and evaluate culturally and linguistically competent service delivery systems to address growing diversity, persistent disparities, and to promote health and mental health equity.
