Faculty Orientation Guide
This guide has been created to provide Duke resources sources to help you get started as a new faculty member at Duke.
We welcome suggestions for additions to this Web site and hope that you also take the time to rate those resources that you used and let us know which have and have not been helpful.
The SOM Faculty Web site is another excellent resource that lists research and clinical resources, training and professional development, shared facilities, forms and other key links of interest to Duke faculty members.
Information that is unique to a specific department or program has not been included here. You should check with your department or division chair, and other resources within your department, for more specific information that may be useful to you. For example, individual clinical services, residencies, and post-doctoral programs may have more specific guidelines governing expectations and routine procedures.
We hope that you the find this information helpful in your new role at Duke.
The Duke Medicine Faculty Development Advisory Committee.
Special thanks and acknowledgement goes to the Duke Department of Medicine, which took the initiative to put together the comprehensive orientation manual that served as the basis for this Web site.
