  •  Bob Wachter   is the author of Watcher's World blog and editor of AHRQ WebM&M and AHRQ Patient Safety Network websites.
  • Lucien Leape   Adjunct Professor of Health Policy - Department of Health Policy and Management - Harvard School of Public Health. Lucian Leape, MD, is generally known as the father of the modern patient safety movement in the United States.
  • Atul Gawande  a general and endocrine surgeon at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts and associate director of their Center for Surgery and Public Health. He is also an associate professor at the Harvard School of Public Health. He has written extensively on medicine and public health for The New Yorker and Slate.
  • Peter Pronovost  is an intensive care specialist physician at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He introduced an intensive care checklist protocol that during an 18-month period saved 1500 lives and $100 million in the State of Michigan.
  • Carolyn Clancey   Director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). Her major research interests include improving health care quality and patient safety and reducing disparities in care associated with patients' race, ethnicity, gender, income, and education. As Director of AHRQ, she launched the first annual report to Congress on health care disparities and health care quality.
  • Don Berwick  the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and was formerly President and Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI)[1] a not-for-profit organization helping to lead the improvement of health care throughout the world.
  • Janet Corrigan is president and CEO of the National Quality Forum (NQF), a private, not-for-profit standard-setting organization. She provided leadership for IOM’s Quality Chasm Series, which produced 10 reports during her tenure, including: To Err is Human: Building a Safer Health System, and Crossing the Quality Chasm: A New Health System for the 21st Century.
  • Brent James  is Chief Quality Officer and Executive Director of the Institute for Health Care Delivery Research at Intermountain Healthcare. In addition to his work for Intermountain in research and training, through his frequent and highly respected courses, he has probably educated more leaders in health care quality and systems change than anyone else in the United States.
