Faculty: Welcome!

Resources to help you become oriented to and familiar with Duke Medicine.

Faculty Orientation Guide

This guide has been created to provide Duke resources sources to help you get started as a new faculty member at Duke.

We welcome suggestions for additions to this Web site!

The SOM Faculty  Web site is another excellent resource that lists research and clinical resources, training and professional development, shared facilities, forms and other key links of interest to Duke faculty members.

Duke also has a faculty profile system:  Scholars@Duke.  You can find information about other faculty and potential collaborators as well as expand and update your own profile.  The Library will be glad to help you get started in updating your publications and answering questions about this important resource.

Information that is unique to a specific department or program has not been included here.  You should check with your department chair, division chief, and other administrative staff within your department, for more specific information that may be useful to you.

We hope that you the find this information helpful in your new role at Duke.

Special thanks and acknowledgement goes to the Duke Department of Medicine, which took the initiative in 2009 to put together the comprehensive orientation manual that served as the basis for this Web site and the Faculty Development Advisory Committee who reviewed its development.

Duke CV Format

Duke's CV format is available on the Duke Faculty Appointment Promotion and Tenure Office Website!
